Hailing from Friuli Venezia Giulia, this wine offers an authentic taste of the local terroir. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Merlot 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 20 years old vines site on locally "ponka" soils. Yield per hectare to 35 hectoliters. Grown organically. Vinification: de-stemming, spontaneous fermentation with maceration in oak casks for 60 days. No fining, unfiltered and no sulfur added. The wine is aged 60 months in second-hand barriques, 60 months in bottle. A wine showing the influence of the region's cool alpine breezes.
