This distinctive wine from Sicily embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. At 12.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Frappato 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the historic district Fossa di Lupo composed of a sandy layer of 40 cm and a deeper layer of limestone. Tree-shaped vines with north-east exposure overlooking the Iblei Mountains. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeast in cement tanks with contact with the skins. The wine is aged some months in old and big oak barrels. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
